The Role

Toll are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leading Hand HV Mechanic to join our Dry Creek team on a 2/1 roster. This is a full-time position on a rotating roster covering day and night shifts, with competitive pay and benefits working on one of the most extensive logistics fleets in the country.

What Does a Day as a Toll Leading Hand Look Like?
  • Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel machinery, including American and European trucks and trailers
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems
  • Ordering and replacing parts as needed
  • Keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Communicating effectively with workshop manager, and other team members
Key Skills and Experience
  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
  • Demonstrated experience working on heavy diesel machinery and have had at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to workplace safety
