Position: Painter and Decorator

Location: Mornington Peninsula, Victoria

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing any defects

- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment

- Determine appropriate colors and materials based on clients' preferences and project requirements

- Provide expert advice on paint selection, color schemes, and design options

- Ensure that all painting and decorating tasks are completed within the agreed timelines and budget

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth project execution

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines

 

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a painter and decorator, with a strong portfolio of completed projects

- Solid knowledge of painting techniques, color mixing, and surface preparation

- Attention to detail and a keen eye for color and design aesthetics

- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a small team

- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor

- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
