Timco is a leading supplier of Timber Roof & Floor Trusses, located at three (3) branches across SA. 

We are experiencing growth and are looking for motivated and talented individual to join our truss team, based at our Lonsdale branch. So, if you are looking for a great place to work as part of a team while working in a friendly environment then this could be the opportunity for you and us.

Timco - Lonsdale branch is looking for a Truss Plant Operators.

Extra staff needed - seeking experienced Truss & Floor manufacturing staff at our Salisbury Branch. These positions are casual positions (as and when required - up to 38 hrs/wk) with the opportunity of full-time ongoing work after minimum of 6 months.  Work demands for product is now peaking so your experience will be highly valued.

Above Award rates, possible weekend work required occasionally, Monday to Friday, start time 7:30am to 4:00pm. Immediate start.

To be successful in these roles, you will need to be able to:

Jig Hand:

  • Set the air lock jig boxes according to truss print out 
  • Insert all timber and plates as per truss print out 
  • Cross check all measurements 
  • Use trained manual handling techniques 
  • Mark all trusses as per plan with 100% accuracy 
  • Spray paint customer name and job number on all packs

Floor Truss Hand:

  • Set up floor table as per truss print out
  • Operate table press and press
  • Assemble floor trusses to correct dimensions
  • Mark all floor trusses as per printouts 
  • Spray paint customer name and job number on all packs of floor trusses
  • Pick timber and nail plates for truss jobs

What we need from you:

  • Basic knowledge of timber and building, although full training will be provided
  • Capability to work on the tools
  • A keen eye for detail and able to meet deadlines
  • Holds a current driver's licence
  • Strong work ethic, reliable and punctual
  • A strong safety awareness
  • Open communication style
  • An ability to work in and contribute to a team
  • fit and healthy
  • Can take direction and follow instructions
  • Able to do hard, repetitive work
  • Experience in labour, mechanical, production work preferred Forklift licence (preferred but not essential) 
  • Good Maths and English (essential)

Ideally looking for someone who has timber knowledge or background from working in construction. Must have good mathematical skills, reliable, able to heavy lift, easy going and willing to work within a good team environment. 

The successful applicant(s) will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing for those holding high-risk licences and/or duties. 

It’s simple…..you need a good attitude, good work ethic and common sense.

If you have all 3 of these, we can offer you long term employment after successfully completing a trial period. 

You must meet the above criteria to be considered. Salary will be commensurate on experience.
