About the Company

CMV Truck Centre is a large on highway Truck Dealership based at Cavan in modern premises. Kenworth trucks have dominated the heavy-duty truck market in Australia for many years and are the market leading brand. DAF is a modern technologically advanced European truck, manufactured by Paccar, who are the parent company of Kenworth trucks.


We are part of the CMV Group, a South Australian family-owned business which has been operating for over 90 years and now employs over 2,000 staff across South Australia and Victoria.


About the role

Working in a modern well-equipped workshop we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our workshop team an experienced New Truck Fitter / Body Builder. Working with our pre-delivery and service teams to undertake a wide range of pre-delivery work and fit outs for our new vehicles. This is a Full Time, permanent role with hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm with the option of available overtime.


Duties & responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing new vehicles to a high standard
  • Ensure all accessories requested on repair orders are fitted and completed
  • Identify and advise of any additional work required
  • Produce concise reports detailing all work carried out on repair orders
  • Assist technicians with general servicing and workshop duties


Skills & Experience

  • Hands on Automotive experience (Caravan, 4WD or Light Vehicle)
  • Great attention to detail with strong customer focus
  • A "can do" / motivated outlook
  • Experience using a wide range of handheld power tools and air tools
  • An ability to work unsupervised and within a supportive and friendly team
  • Current HC/HR drivers licence would be an advantage
