Role Summary

Vollers Fabrication is seeking motivated individuals for a range of roles in our workshop. Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication is not essential, however the successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically fit, and have a passion for delivering high-quality work.

 

We are seeking applicants for various roles within the workshop, from entry-level labourers to apprentices and qualified tradespeople. 

 

Successful entry level candidates will:

• Be supported with the necessary training and education, in a friendly environment working alongside the owners and other experienced staff. 
• Have a good work ethic and be eager to learn
• Enjoy working with their hands and following well-established fabrication and safety procedures

 

Successful experienced candidates will:

• Ensure health and safety requirements are met at all times.
• Fabricate and deliver sheet metal solutions for builders, roofers and businesses. 
• Select gauges and types of sheet metal such as stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, Colorbond, etc.
• Manually layout and mark dimensions and reference points on material to develop patterns of products or parts.
• Operate fabricating machines such as brake press, CNC turret punch, CNC fibre laser, and sheet metal rolls.
• Operate welding equipment to weld various types of materials.
• Finish and clean welds.
• Join metal sections by other means, such as rivets, screws, and bolts.
• Interpret CAD drawings and fabricate from them.
• Maintain and use hand and power tools related to the sheet metal trade.
