3D Printer Operator

About the role

We are seeking a 3D Printer Operator to join our team at Aurora Labs 3D (ASX:A3D) in Canning Vale, WA. As a full-time 3D Printer Operator, you will play a vital role in our innovative metal 3D printing operations, ensuring the efficient and reliable production of high-quality 3D printed parts and components.

What you'll be doing

• Operate and maintain our advanced 3D printing equipment, including powder-bed fusion machines, to produce complex metal parts and components to precise specifications
• Prepare and load print materials, monitor print jobs, and perform post-processing tasks such as part removal, cleaning, and quality checks
• Collaborate with the printing team to optimise printing parameters and processes, ensuring consistent and reliable output
• Maintain detailed records of production data, material usage, and equipment performance
• Assist in the implementation of new 3D printing technologies and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a 3D Printer Operator or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Technical expertise in the operation and maintenance of 3D printing equipment, particularly powder-bed fusion technology
• Strong understanding of 3D printing materials, post-processing techniques, and quality assurance procedures
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and 3D printing file formats would be highly advantageous
