Yard Assistant

Brief Description:

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our warehouse team to perform a full range of Yard Duties and assist with deliveries. (Heavy lifting required). 

Start and finish times:.7.00am Till 4.30pm (overtime as required)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers and fulfilling their needs.
• Ensure efficient yard operations through picking, packing, loading, and unloading tasks.
• Assist yard staff with general duties to maintain a well-organized and safe environment.
• Safely and efficiently deliver building materials, focusing on manual unloading.
• Receive, restock, and organize inventory on racks and shelves.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Contribute to the cleanliness and maintenance of trucks and yard areas.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Yard Supervisor and General Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a valid forklift license.
• Present a professional and well-spoken demeanor.
• Work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring satisfaction at all times.
• While knowledge of the building industry is advantageous, it is not essential.
