We are looking for a Trades Assistant for our Food Manufacturing site based at Arndell Park.

 

About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Trades Assistant to join our Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting maintenance tasks, basic machine set-up, general PMs like lubrication and assisting breakdowns. 

The shift commences at 6 am and there is the opportunity for overtime. 

Your main functions will include but not limited to: 

• Safe use of power tools
• Maintaining spare parts
• Basic PMs, e.g. lubrication and inspections
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of work area and equipment.
• Working on continuous improvements
• To be an active member of your Team engaging in daily and ad hoc meetings.
• General repair tasks
• Forklift license a bonus but not essential
• Dismantle, clean and reassemble parts

 

To be a success in this role you will have:

• Minimum2- 3 years’ experience in a similar role. FMCG industry an advantage.
• Must be physically fit
• Good team layer
• Good communicator
• Ability to cope in fast paced environment and work unsupervised or part of team.
• Ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks, and attention to detail.
