1st Year Electrical Apprentice

Burlin are an established Electrical, Mechanical & Refrigeration company based in Melbourne's inner Suburbs with projects all throughout greater Melbourne. We are currently seeking a 1st year Electrical Apprentice for a January start. Preferably the successful candidate is south western suburbs based to be an option to work on projects in Geelong as well as Melbourne . We are open to applicants who are currently undertaking their 1st year apprenticeship. 

The position is full-time, with a 3-month probationary period. 

Duties will include but not limited to: 

• Work in commercial, industrial and Mech Elec fields
• Install and maintain equipment, fault finding 
• Install power and lighting circuits, data, fire and smoke alarms, switchboards 
• Work alongside a tradesman  
• Climbing ladders, lifting, and carrying tools and supplies 
• Cable Installation, rough-in, fit-off 

Apprentices are required to attend a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), to complete off the job training and study a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electricians. 

The successful candidate will be: 

• Motivated 
• Punctual 
• Have attention to detail 
• Have white card 
• Has willingness to learn and can-do attitude 
• Can follow on-site and OHS standards
• Pre Apprenticeship completion preferred

As an apprentice, you’ll be fully supported though your initial years as you develop and build your skills and knowledge.
