Maintenance Fitter

Rover Recruitment are looking for an Maintenance Fitter to join a hugely successful Manufacturing business in Wacol. This could suit someone very experienced looking to join a strong, supportive team or someone less experienced looking to grow with the business, be supported and develop into the role.

Our client is a true Australian success story that has grown into a leading food Manufacturer with around 200 staff across three shifts. Always seeking continuous improvement and investing in there team, they are looking to grow there highly capable maintenance team.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Fitter, you’ll be essential to ensuring our machinery and systems run efficiently and reliably. You’ll bring your problem-solving skills and technical know-how to maintain, repair, and enhance equipment performance in compliance with industry standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Exposure to food industry or pharmaceutical environments.
• Skills: High-level fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in pneumatics, hydraulics, and working with packing equipment such as cartoners, fillers, sealers, and conveyors.
• Hands-On Abilities: TIG welding and fabrication skills, as well as basic machining (lathe and miller).
• Knowledge Areas: Familiarity with refrigeration plant basics and the ability to use computer systems like Word, Excel, and MEX.

Preferred Additional Skills and Licenses:

• Forklift license.
• Boiler attendant certification.
• Confined space entry certification.
• Working at heights certification.
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket.
