A skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic is required. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be essential in maintaining, diagnosing and repairing vehicles to ensure their safety, reliability, and peak performance. You will start work under a supervisor and with a dynamic team and utilise the latest diagnostic tools and techniques to uphold a high standard of service.

Task & Responsibilities
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and disassemble engine assemblies, transmissions, and other vehicle components to assess wear and damage.
  • Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, referencing service manuals and industry guidelines.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to optimize performance and meet emissions standards.
  • Work under supervision and learn reassemble engines and components, ensuring all parts are tested and fitted properly.
  • Conduct roadworthiness inspections, issue certificates, and advise customers on necessary repairs.
  • Attend to vehicle breakdowns and provide efficient on-site repair solutions as needed.
  • Communicate vehicle issues and repair options to customers, providing clear cost estimates and advice on future maintenance.
  • Work under supervision and learn communication skills to explain issues to customers and provide solutions.
Qualification & Experience
  • Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology and Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a Motor Mechanic role.
  • The applicant can start at entry level and enhance their skills to grow senior level. 
  • Strong understanding of automotive technology, diagnostics, and industry trends.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and efficiency.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
