Agnico Eagle owns and operates the Fosterville Gold Mine which is located on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, approximately 20 kilometres east of Bendigo in Central Victoria. DIESEL FITTER  – Rotating Day/Night 7/7 roster 

Fosterville Gold Mine invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the position of Diesel Fitter. The primary purpose of this position is to perform planned/breakdown maintenance of equipment in accordance with site procedures and maintenance sheets.

Reporting to the Mobile Fleet Supervisor, your duties will include:

• Completion of required preventative and breakdown maintenance on mobile fleet equipment and underground drills, along with diagnosing faults, defect capture and repairs
• Workshop and underground servicing and repairs on U/G drills, U/G trucks, U/G loaders and ancillary equipment
• Accurate reporting of faults found and completion of maintenance records
• Provide diagnostic fault finding on breakdowns
• Act in accordance with site standards policies and procedures

The successful candidate should possess the following:

• Mechanical trade qualifications
• Mining background (desired)
• Underground mobile fleet maintenance experience on Sandvik development drills, Sandvik production drills, Epiroc production drills, CAT Loaders, Sandvik Trucks and Ancillary support equipment
• 5 years’ experience in trade position servicing and maintaining diesel equipment
• Previous drill fitter experience working on Sandvik DD421 and DD422i (desired)
• Hydraulic and electrical fault finding skills
• Pronto knowledge (desirable)

A competitive rate will be offered in line with the relevant classification contained in the Fosterville Enterprise Agreement 2021.
