About the role

Champions IGA is seeking a Qualified Butcher to join our team in Bendigo, Victoria. As a full-time Qualified Butcher, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and butchery expertise to our valued customers. This is a hands-on role where you will work alongside our experienced team to ensure we deliver the highest quality meat products.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cutting a variety of meat products to customer specifications
• Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in the butchery department
• Assisting with inventory management and stock control
• Contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the butchery team

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Butchery or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a Butcher in a retail or commercial setting
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide exceptional assistance to customers
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A team-oriented approach and the willingness to contribute to the overall success of the department
