About the Role
Due to its rapid and ongoing growth, our modern Fabrication Workshop now has exciting opportunities for experienced Sheet Metal Fabricators. Responsibilities will include:
- Fabricating sheet metal products, pipework and Kiosk’s in line with our transformer manufacturing.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work orders to meet project specifications.
- Operating metalworking machinery, such as brake presses, Spot welder etc and possibilities to learn powder coating and laser welding.
- Welding and joining metal materials using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques.
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Conducting regular inspections of completed projects for accuracy and quality assurance.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
About You
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Trade qualification in Sheet Metal Work (Cert III in Engineering – Sheet Metal Work or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Tradesman.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as metalworking machinery.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety in the workplace.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and colleagues.
