Trade Assistant

Our client based at the Port of Brisbane have an exciting opportunity join their team as a Trades Assistant. As part of our client's team you will be able to build your career with Australia's biggest privately owned Logistics Company.

You must have full working rights in Australia and available to work 5 days per week between Monday to Friday.

As the successful candidate you will:

• Work alongside Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics
• Assisting in efficiently and cost-effectively identifying and resolving mechanical issues
• Work on Afternoon Shift from 12pm to 8.30pm, with overtime available
• This is a temp to perm position
• A competitive hourly wage plus overtime and allowances
• Operating a safe and dependable fleet, serviced and maintained within our own facilities

As the successful candidate you have:

• Possess a HR, HC, MC and Forklift license beneficial
• You must have your own car & licence, there is NO public transport to this site
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable, diligent, and a strong sense of pride in your work
• Welding skills considered beneficial
• Electrical experience would be an advantage
• Strong communication abilities.

This is a very physically demanding position and repetitive lifting and manual handling will be the main part of your role.
