FLEET ASSISTANT

We are a haulage and earthworks contractor with 30+ years' experience and a strong pipeline of works. We are looking to continually grow our capabilities and need an experienced person to support our Allocations Team 

About the Role

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, we have an opportunity available to join our close-knit team in Northgate. This is a support position, aiding the effective planning, directing and scheduling the day-to-day haulage of fill material. Your role and responsibilities will continually grow as you become more familiar with the company and the management of our fleet.

You will be challenged as you multi-task and prioritise under pressure, with timing on deliveries often critical to our customers' business needs.

Duties

• Promote a safe, positive work environment and maintain alignment with company policies.

• Support the Allocation Team in day-to-day operations via administration of Transport operations

• Perform administrative duties including data entry and reporting

• Liaise between drivers and workshop

• Placing outbound calls to clientelle and contractors regularly to keep at the forefront of availability

• Flexible to take calls as required on the weekend.

• You will be required to be available every second Saturday

Skills & Experience

• Experience in transport or logistics, ideally within the Civil Earthworks industry would be advantageous

• Allocation experience

• Strong customer service orientation with effective and professional communication skills to engage with drivers, customers, and management

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong computer skills and understanding

• Ability to multi-task and prioritise under time pressures.

• Self motivated

• Team focus and ability to build relationships with people quickly.

• Valid driver's licence
