What’s the Role?

Instrowest is experiencing significant growth and we’re looking for a dedicated Weightometer Technician to join our expanding team. This is your chance to become a key player in the mining and mineral processing industry, specialising in the calibration, installation, and maintenance of various weightometers. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our clients’ systems run smoothly, accurately and at peak performance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Calibration & Commissioning: Specialising in all makes and models from Siemens, Ramsey, Tecweigh, CST, Schenk and Webtech, you’ll ensure every weightometer is calibrated to the highest accuracy.
Installations & Alignments: Installing and aligning a variety of weightometers across different sites, ensuring everything is set up perfectly.
Project Management: From scoping to sourcing and quoting, you’ll be involved in all aspects of project delivery—watching your hard work come to life!
Shutdown Assistance: Leading weightometer-focused shutdowns, including calibrations, installations, and audits.
Client Liaison: Engage directly with clients to solve their weighing problems, provide solutions, write proposals, and ensure smooth communication throughout.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: Ideally, you have experience with weightometers, but we’ll provide full training if you don’t.
Qualifications: You’ll need a current West Australian Electrical Worker’s License (restricted electrical license minimum) and a C-Class Driver’s License.
Mining Experience: FIFO/DIDO experience is a plus.
Location: Must be based in the Perth metro area or willing to relocate.
Medical: You’ll need to pass a medical screen to ensure you’re fit for the role.
Desirable Certifications: First Aid/CPR, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, EWP, LF, LR Drivers License (not essential, but helpful).
